Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: What is the total number of potholes currently recorded by NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi as awaiting repair or re-repair on the state highway network as at the most recent reporting date, and how does that compare that to the same date in 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, and 2020?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised by NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) that the total potholes awaiting repair or re-repair were: 28/10/2023 – 303 28/10/2024 – 64 28/10/2025 - 83 Please note NZTA does not hold this historical information for the years of 2020, 2021 and 2022.
