51759 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: What has been the total expenditure on pothole repairs by NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi in the 2023/24, 2024/25, and 2025/26 financial years to date?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised that NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi does not separate the pothole repair activity from other pavement maintenance works. These costs are captured and reported in Work Category 111 – Sealed pavement maintenance, together with permanent repairs and preventive maintenance: Work Category 111 spend: 2025-26: $23.7 million 2024-25: $142.9 million 2023-24: $116.4 million.
