51754 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: How many, if any, meetings between NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi network teams and maintenance contractors have been held each month since January 2024 to review inspection processes and reactive-maintenance results?

Hon Chris Bishop: For the first 6 months of the trial (July to December 2024), NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi network teams had daily meetings with maintenance contractors to review work done and measure achievements against the targets. Since January 2025, these meetings have moved to occur at least weekly across each maintenance network.
