51741 (2025). Shanan Halbert to the Minister of Education: What funding changes, if any, has there been to funding allocated to organisations and schools or provision provided by the Ministry of Education on the North Shore during the past 18 months?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) that, in the past 18 months, there has not been any change to funding for contracted services directed at the North Shore. However, the North Shore has been impacted by the following changes to funding for contracted services in the past 18 months: • the cessation of Whānau Engagement contracts that expired across the New Zealand on 30 June 2025 • the redistribution of funding from Attendance officer contracts to the existing Attendance Service contracts • the allocation of Full Time Teaching Equivalent (FTTE) staff for the North Shore Cluster of Resource Teachers Learning and Behaviour that was reduced by one FTTE from 2024 to 2025 (this change was based on national student roll numbers) • the increase of resourcing for schools via both collective agreement requirements and operational funding grant budget increases.
