51739 (2025). Shanan Halbert to the Minister for Vocational Education: What funding, if any, have MIT/Unitech applied for during the last 12 months, by title of application and total amount of funding requested?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I am informed by the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) that as MIT and Unitec are part of the New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology (NZIST, previously Te Pūkenga) all funding applications came from NZIST. MIT and Unitec divisions did not make any direct applications for funding to the TEC.
