51733 (2025). Steve Abel to the Minister of Climate Change: Has the Minister or Ministry had any correspondence from overseas counterparts about the new 2050 methane target, if so, what was the substance of the correspondence?

Hon Simon Watts: In my capacity as Minister for Climate Change, I have not had any correspondence from overseas counterparts about the new 2050 methane target. I am advised, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Ministry for the Environment and the Ministry for Primary Industries have received correspondence from overseas counterparts seeking meetings and information about the 2050 methane target and associated announcements.
