51723 (2025). Steve Abel to the Minister of Climate Change: Did the Minister receive any advice on the impact of new methane targets beyond 2030, if not, why not?

Hon Simon Watts: Yes, in my capacity as the Minister of Climate Change, I considered advice on the impact of the proposed new 2050 methane target on the climate and the economy, as well as its feasibility, beyond 2030. Advice addressed impacts out to 2050, and in the case of temperature impact modelling, out to 2100.
