51683 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister for Sport and Recreation: What new or renewed office leases have been entered into since 1 January 2024 by any agency for which the Minister is responsible, if any, and for each lease, what is the total cost, term, floor area, and current occupancy rate?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Sport NZ took the first right of renewal at Sport Central Auckland for the Ground Floor only of 839.1m2. Sport NZ released level 1 which was office space floor 547.1m2. The right of renewal was for a three-year term to April 2027. Sport NZ has one more right of renewal available. I refer the member to the table provided at WPQ 51681 (2025) for the costs and floor areas. High Performance Sport New Zealand (HPSNZ) renewed the lease on the National Training Centre in Auckland, Grassroots Trust Velodrome in Cambridge and Dunedin training facility. TA new lease for Christchurch (Parakiore) is in the process of being executed at the time of responding. It is due to commence around 1 December 2025. Given the lease has not been fully executed, specific details relating to the lease have not been disclosed. I refer the member to the table provided at WPQ 51681 (2025) for the costs and floor areas.
