51654 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology: What is the total floor area and annual cost of all office space currently leased or owned by each agency for which the Minister is responsible, and what proportion of that space is currently occupied by staff?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: As Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology, I have no responsibility for any government departments. With regard to agencies, I am advised that Callaghan Innovation owns 8654 sqm of office space, however it does not routinely collect occupancy data for office spaces. In addition, Callaghan Innovation leases 1831 sqm of office space (at an annual cost $670,921.98 + GST), all of which is in use by staff.
