51591 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Housing: How many, if any agencies for which the Minister is responsible have reduced staff numbers since 2023 while maintaining or increasing their total office space holdings?

Hon Chris Bishop: Since 1 July 2023 the Ministry of Housing & Urban Development has overall reduced its workforce while maintaining its total office space. Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that it has reduced staffing levels since 2023 in line with its operational reset, and has reduced office space from 40,943m2 in 2023, to 39,359m2 currently.
