51565 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister for the Environment: What new or renewed office leases have been entered into since 1 January 2024 by any agency for which the Minister is responsible, if any, and for each lease, what is the total cost, term, floor area, and current occupancy rate?

Hon Penny Simmonds: The Ministry for the Environment has not entered any new or renewed office leases since 1 January 2024. In July 2024, the Ministry entered a Memorandum Of Understanding agreement with the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment for space at the Victoria Street, Auckland office. The Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) signed an assignment of the lease on their new premises on 12 April 2024. The lease expiry is 27 October 2028 with two further terms of three years through to 27 October 2034. The lease space is 2225m2. It is 100% occupied by EPA staff.
