51526 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister for Children: What is the total floor area and annual cost of all office space currently leased or owned by each agency for which the Minister is responsible, and what proportion of that space is currently occupied by staff?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised that all office space used by Oranga Tamariki is leased. For the 2024/25 financial year, Oranga Tamariki leased floor space totalling 66,839 m2, at a gross cost of $256 per m2. I am further advised that Oranga Tamariki does not hold data regarding the ‘occupancy rate’ of its offices.
