51505 (2025). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: What understanding, if any, was established between the New Zealand Government and the Samoan Government on when the distribution of compensatory payments to local communities for the Manawanui sinking would occur?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: New Zealand provided the ST$10 million payment to the Government of Samoa on the understanding that the Government of Samoa would distribute the payment through its national budget and in accordance with its own processes.
