51402 (2025). Hon Rachel Brooking to the Minister for Food Safety: Has he requested or received ay advise about food safety risks, if any, associated with proposed changes to export meat inspection services?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: I refer the member to my response to WPQ 38006 (2025). The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) is responsible for administering the requirements of the Animal Products Act 1999, which ensures animal products and materials are fit for intended purpose, and manages risk to human health and safeguards our official assurances to overseas markets.
