51398 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Customs: What proportion of traveler declarations are made using the digital New Zealand Traveller Declaration?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that for the period 1 to 28 October 2025, the total uptake of digital New Zealand Traveller Declarations across air and sea passenger streams was 69.59 per cent. Customs continues to work closely with airlines and travel industry partners to support the increasing use of the digital New Zealand Traveller Declaration. Education campaigns in New Zealand and internationally also continue to raise awareness of the digital declaration.
