51118 (2025). Ingrid Leary to the Minister of Internal Affairs: Have any Palestinians, residing in Dunedin, applied for citizenship from permanent residency status, and had no outcome of their application after more than 18 months?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised by the Department of Internal Affairs that fewer than five applicants who have stated their nationality as Palestinian and are currently residing in Dunedin and hold permanent residency status, have been awaiting the outcome of their citizenship application for more than 18 months.
