51039 (2025). Scott Willis to the Minister for Energy: What companies, if any, have applied for government investment in energy security projects following the Ministers announcement on October 1 2025?

Hon Simon Watts: No companies have applied for government investment. The Energy Package announced on 1 October has not created an investment fund, however there are two procurement opportunities included. The first offers government energy use to support development of new energy projects. This is at Request for Information stage. The second is for an LNG import facility. This is at Registration of Interest stage. As both processes are still open, submissions are still underway.
