51027 (2025). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Associate Minister of Housing: How many, if any, Housing First places are currently contracted in Hamilton and how many, if any, of those places are currently being utilised?

Hon Tama Potaka: I refer the Member to the attached table. I am advised that the number of contracted places are indicative only and do not indicate a hard limit. Places are regularly brought on, or vacated as required. Data for the number of households in Housing First services typically includes a high percentage of ‘graduated clients’ (people who have transitioned from Housing First into social housing). In addition to places listed in the table, the Ministry is currently working with a number of providers to contract for 300 additional Housing First places in these regions.
