51024 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Vocational Education: What advice, if any, has the Minister received regarding vocational education and training reforms and the infrastructure training organisation Connexis, listed by title and date?

Hon Penny Simmonds: On 27 June 2025 TEC provided me with an Aide Memoire titled Assignment of Te Pūkenga’s work based learning divisions to Industry Skills Boards. In early September TEC provided me with a verbal update of the progress of work-based learning divisions who had signalled they intended to transition to a provider as early as possible. Following this meeting with TEC officials in early September I received notes confirming the rationale for Connexis and EarnLearn moving to the Infrastructure ISB together.
