50945 (2024). Rt Hon Chris Hipkins to the Prime Minister: What aides-mémoire, briefings, memos, notes, reports, or any other advice, if any, has the Minister or their Office received during the week beginning 12 August 2024, listed by agency, title and date received?
Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: As Prime Minister, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on a range of matters. I received the following document for the Prime Minister portfolio from my officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) between 12-16 August 2024: Prime Minister’s weekly brief, 19 August 2024. I also received one document on 14 August 2024, one document on 16 August 2024, and 11 documents on 19 August 2024. It is not in the public interest to release the titles of these documents. Jointly with the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery the following document was also received: North Island Weather Events: Progress Update on Categorisation and Buyouts, and Sediment Removal, 14 August 2024. I have received briefings from the Policy Advisory Group, a business unit of DPMC, during the requested timeframe however I am not releasing the titles of these briefings. In addition, staff in my office may informally receive documents, including draft documents, from my officials in DPMC and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices. This information is not held in a format that can be easily extracted within the time frame.
