50887 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Internal Affairs: What board fee increases, if any, has the Minister approved in 2025 to date, by organisation?

Hon Brooke van Velden: As the Minister of Internal Affairs, I approved an increase to the fees paid to the members of the Film and Literature Board of Review. The fees increase was included as part of the current appointment round. The fees were increased in September 2025. The fees had not been reviewed since 2012. The Presiding member’s fee was increased from $560 to $1,100 per day to bring the fee to the midpoint of the Group 2 fees band. The member’s fee was increased from $380 to $700 per day to bring the fee to the midpoint of the Group 2 fees band. I also approved an increase to the fees paid to the members the Lotto New Zealand Board. The fees were increased in September 2025. The ordinary fees for a Lotto NZ board member increased from $31,950 to $53,720 per annum from 1 October 2025 to bring the fee to the midpoint of the new band for Group 3a Level 1 entities.
