Hon Penny Simmonds: In November 2024, I appointed Judge Dwyer as Chair of the Board of Inquiry Te Awamutu Waste to Energy Proposal of National Significance. A fee exception was approved, being the fee equivalent of an Environment Court Judge. Two panel members were also appointed and were granted exceptions to the Cabinet Fee Framework to receive $1,100 per day.
