50835 (2025). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Associate Minister of Education: In response to Reply 48984 (2025), what, if anything, is the additional cost for the School Lunch Collective to store, collect, and transfer these aluminium trays to a recycling facility; separated by cost of storage, collection, transfer, and recycling?

Hon David Seymour: Storage, collection, transfer and recycling are included within the per meal cost and are requirements of the existing School Lunch Collective Services Agreement. I am advised that, in response to school requests for five-day waste collection, an additional waste pickup from schools on Fridays has been funded separately. This cost is $1,644,972 (excluding GST) per year.
