50767 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What proportion of diagnostic tests performed in Health New Zealand diagnostic laboratories are submitted from private hospitals?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that for the majority of Health New Zealand diagnostic laboratories, the proportion of work referred by private hospitals is minimal as this work is usually analysed by community-based labs.
