Teanau Tuiono to the Minister of Conservation: Further to replies to Question for Oral No. 11 on Oct 15, does the Minister agree with the statement that 'any suggestion that we're going to hollow out industry, including fisheries, to meet this dreamlike conception of how dangerous climate change is' and if so why, and if not why not?

Hon Tama Potaka: I agree with the broader sentiment expressed by Mininster Jones during Oral Question No. 11 on October 15, that the Government will use facts and science to inform fisheries catch limits. However, my talents with the spoken and bilingual word pale in comparsion with the Matua and I would not use the same pharsing as him.
