50734 (2025). Shanan Halbert to the Minister for Vocational Education: What is the current number of available and funded places in level 1 and 2 foundation education, listed by region?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I refer the Member to the attached table showing the number of funded EFTS committed to Level 1 & 2 qualifications by region in 2025. The TEC does not collect information on the number of available learner places. The TEC funds on Equivalent Full Time Students (EFTS). The relationship between EFTS and learner places is not one-to-one. This is also my response to written parliamentary question 50748 (2025).
