50721 (2025). Hon Marama Davidson to the Minister for Courts: Which Auckland region courts have the safety programmes for victim survivors been expanded to, and what programmes does each of these courts now have in place?

Hon Nicole McKee: I am advised that in 2024, access to a Safety Programme was expanded in the Family Court. Protection Order applicants and those who withdraw or discontinue their applications are eligible for a Safety Programme. On 1 July 2025, the Ministry expanded access to Safety Programmes further. Currently, victims of family violence offences in five criminal courts across the Auckland region (Auckland, Manukau, North Shore, Waitākere, and Papakura) are eligible for a Safety Programme.
