50665 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: What is the total number of vaping kits Health NZ intends to distribute, or has distributed, since 27 November 2023, broken down by district?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that since January 2025 Health New Zealand distributed a total of 3,430 vaping kits as part of its pilot to Stop Smoking providers. I am further advised the breakdown by Region is as follows: Northern | Te Tai Tokerau – 870 Midlands | Te Manawa Taki – 830 Central | Te Ikaroa – 800 South Island | Te Waipounamu – 930.
