Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: What advice, if any, did the Minister receive about the implications of her announcement that “Oranga Tamariki will now only pay up to 70% of the maximum value of a contract until the services have been provided in full", listed by title and date received?

Hon Karen Chhour: I receive advice on a wide range of topics related to my portfolio responsibilities from many people, including Oranga Tamariki. I have not received or sought any specific advice from Oranga Tamariki on the topic the Member refers to. Contracting decisions are an operational matter and are the responsibility of the Chief Executive of Oranga Tamariki.
