Hon Mark Mitchell: As the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on matters relating to my Emergency Management and Recovery portfolio. I received the following documents from officials in the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Chief Executive, Cyclone Recovery between 12-16 August 2024: • Aide Memoire: Meeting with NZ Red Cross, 16 August 2024 • Briefing: Pacific Minister’s Intersessional and Asia Pacific Ministerial Conference for Disaster Risk Reduction – Manila, Philippines, 16 August 2024: • Aide Memoire: Supporting Recovery in Wairoa, 16 August 2024 • Aide Memoire: Cyclone Recovery Unit Fortnightly Report, 16 August 2024. In addition, jointly with the Prime Minister, I received the following document: • Aide Memoire: North Island Weather Events: Progress Update on Categorisation, Buyouts, and Sediment Removal, 14 August 2024. I received one briefing on 15 August 2024, however, it is not in the public interest to release the title of this document. Staff in my office may informally receive documents, including draft documents, from officials in NEMA and DPMC and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices.
