Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that at 16 August 2024, the NZTA median full time equivalent salary of permanent and fixed term employees is $124,738 and the average full time equivalent salary of permanent and fixed term employees is $130,865. As at 19 August 2024 the median base salary at the Civil Aviation Authority was $85,501.00 and the arithmetic mean base salary was $98,201.81 (this includes fixed term and permanent staff only and excludes employees on Long-term Leave without Pay and Parental Leave). As of 20 August 2024, the Ministry of Transport’s median salary is $119,681 and the Ministry of Transport’s mean (average) salary is $127,292.89.
