50497 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Customs: What are the median and mean salaries of the staff, if any, of the Minister's department, if any?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that, as at 20 August 2024, the mean average full-time base salary of all staff at the New Zealand Customs Service is $92,241.53, and the median base salary is $78,371. This response is inclusive of the staff of the Border Executive Board Secretariat as these staff are considered employees of the New Zealand Customs Service.
