50466 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister for Children: Who (if anyone) provided advice and or advocacy to young people in respect of giving consent to placement in Military Style Youth Academies?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that all young people on the Military-Style Academy Pilot received advice and support from their social workers, case leaders, family/whānau and youth advocates on what the Pilot would offer and were encouraged to provide feedback on their involvement in it.
