50452 (2024). Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: Does the Minister agree with the comments of Laura Trask of ACT in the House on 20 March 2024 that those currently most affected by having home addresses on the companies registry are “your sole traders. It's your hairdressers, it's your tradies, it's your people that are working from home as well”?
Hon Andrew Bayly: I am aware of the safety and privacy concerns of all types of directors, including those identified by Laura Trask and that is why I intend to introduce legislation as soon as possible to provide a comprehensive solution to this issue. This will allow directors and shareholders to provide an address for service for the Companies Register rather than their home address for any reason.
