Hon Penny Simmonds: I refer the member to the response below for the median and mean salaries of the staff, for the Tertiary Education departments: Tertiary Education Commission The median salary as of 30 June/1 July 2024 is $116,606 and the mean is $124,224 at the Tertiary Education Commission. New Zealand Qualifications Authority As at 30 June 2024 the average salary for NZQA staff was $110,292 and the median salary was $107,046. Education New Zealand As at 31 July 2024, the average salary of New Zealand-based Education New Zealand staff was $132,360. The median salary, for the same date, was $124,859.
