50417 (2024). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister for Children: How many incidents, if any, has taken place at Oranga Tamariki facilities since 1 November 2023, broken down by facility?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised that Oranga Tamariki uses an incident reporting system called ‘My Safety’ to report all health and safety incidents. These incidents range from identified hazards, ‘near misses’ and pain/discomfort experienced in the workplace through to more serious incidents such threats and assaults on staff. I refer the Member to the attached tables which show the number of incidents recorded in the MySafety reporting system at Oranga Tamariki facilities from 1 November 2023 to 31 July 2024.
