50396 (2024). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister for Disability Issues: What impacts, if any, will the restructure of Whaikaha have on disability communities while transitioning the responsibilities to the Ministry of Social Development?

Hon Louise Upston: I am advised that both Ministry for Disabled People - Whaikaha and Ministry of Social Development (MSD) are working to ensure that there is a smooth transition of responsibilities for Disability Support Services to MSD. Needs Assessment Service Coordination agencies (NASCs) or Enabling Good Lives demonstration sites, or disability support providers, will continue to be the point of contact for people who require disability support.
