50382 (2024). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister of Climate Change: What progress, if any, has the Government made on legislation around climate adaptation?

Hon Simon Watts: On 10 May I asked the Finance and Expenditure Select Committee to open an inquiry into Climate Adaptation, with particular focus on key areas that could feed into potential legislation and an overarching framework. This inquiry, supported by all Parliamentary parties, is set to report back to the house in early October. Further descisions will be taken on potential Climate Change Adaptation Legislation once this has been finished.
