Francisco Hernandez to the Prime Minister: How many staff, if any, were employed in the Minister's departments, if any, on 1 July 2024 that worked on climate change adaptation, categorised by work on corporate/organisational climate adaptation or national climate change adaptation or both?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) had seven staff working on measures to enhance the resilience of New Zealand’s critical infrastructure system, including against the risks posed by climate change. In addition, I receive advice from my officials in DPMC on climate change policy, including adaptation and critical infrastructure resilience.
