Francisco Hernandez to the Associate Minister of Transport: How many staff, if any, were employed in the Minister's departments, if any, on 1 July 2024 that worked on greenhouse gas emissions reduction efforts, categorised by whether they worked on organisational/corporate emissions reduction or nationwide emissions reduction or both?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am told by the Transport Accident Investigation Commission as at 1 July 2024 there were no staff employed to work on GHG reduction. I am told by Maritime New Zealand as at 1 July 2024, 0.69 FTE worked on organisational GHG reduction, and ~3 FTE worked on nationwide GHG reduction.
