50304 (2025). Ingrid Leary to the Minister of Immigration: Are permanent residence applications, from Palestinians based in New Zealand, being processed at a slower rate than other residence applications; if so, why?

Hon Erica Stanford: No. Permanent resident applications from Palestinian nationals are being processed at a similar, or faster, rate than other nationalities. For example, in the period 29 September - 24 October 2025 one application for permanent residence was received from a Palestinian national and it was processed in three working days.
