Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Land Information: How many staff, if any, were employed in the Minister's departments, if any, on 1 July 2023 that worked on climate change adaptation, categorised by work on corporate/organisational climate adaptation or national climate change adaptation or both?

Hon Chris Penk: I have been advised that on 1 July 2023 Land information New Zealand (LINZ) had one person working on the 3D coastal mapping project which while not exclusively being delivered for climate adaptation purposes contributes to the National Climate Change Adaptation Plan. LINZ also had a small number of policy staff who considered the national climate change adaptation as part of their broader policy work.
