Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Land Information: How many staff, if any, were employed in the Minister's departments, if any, on 1 July 2023 that worked on greenhouse gas emissions reduction efforts, categorised by whether they worked on organisational/corporate emissions reduction or nationwide emissions reduction or both?

Hon Chris Penk: I have been advised that on 1 July 2023 Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) had four people who spent part of their time on corporate greenhouse gas emissions reduction efforts through the Carbon Neutral Government Programme (CNGP) in 2023. LINZ also had a small number of policy staff who considered nationwide emissions reductions as part of their broader policy work.
