50197 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Defence: Was any of the $8m (or $33m over four years) in defence spending that the Minister announced on 4 May 2025 to provide for civilian staff pay increases in NZDF used to provide for remuneration for military personnel, and if so, how much?
Hon Judith Collins: The funding secured in this year’s budget includes $155 million over four years for partial implementation of New Zealand Defence Force allowance review outcomes and $33 million over four years for civilian remuneration and non-discretionary pay. As part of the allocation for FY 2025/2026, $7.15 million has been allocated towards civilian remuneration and $1.14 million towards non-discretionary components for military personnel.
