Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Justice: How many staff, if any, were employed in the Minister's departments, if any, on 1 July 2023 that worked on greenhouse gas emissions reduction efforts, categorised by whether they worked on organisational/corporate emissions reduction or nationwide emissions reduction or both?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised that, on 1 July 2023, two staff in the Ministry of Justice worked on organisational/corporate greenhouse gas emissions reduction efforts. None worked on nationwide emissions reduction. This answer covers roles that are specifically focused on sustainability and the Ministry’s carbon footprint and excludes roles that undertake work in the property teams, for example, that implement property projects that result in reductions to the Ministry’s emissions.
