50191 (2025). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: Further to his replies to Questions 47344 and 47340 (2025), how many bedrooms did each of the units at Reseda Place, Papatoetoe, Auckland have and why, if at all, were any of them the wrong size?
Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that the three properties at Reseda Place, Papatoetoe are all three-bedroom homes.
Three-bedroom properties, particularly those that are older and are costly to maintain and upgrade, are appropriate to sell and be replaced with new ones that are warmer and drier, the right size and in the right locations.
One of the three homes was compliant with the Healthy Homes Standards.
Following a review of the properties, including consideration of the cost to bring the properties to lettable standard, it was determined that they were appropriate to sell and be replaced with new warm and dry homes, which are the right size and in the right locations.
This is also my reply to WPQ 50193-4 (2025).
