50158 (2025). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Associate Minister of Housing: Has he received any information, estimate, or advice from officials about the number of pregnant women who have been declined emergency housing since 27 November 2023, if so, on what date?

Hon Tama Potaka: Yes, on 14th October 2025, I was advised that the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) does not record the pregnancy status of applicants for emergency housing. Therefore, I am advised that it is not possible to say how many pregnant women, if any, may have been declined emergency housing since 27 November 2023.
