50155 (2025). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Associate Minister of Housing: Have officials ever provided him with a figure, estimate, or range for the number of pregnant women who have been declined emergency housing in the past 12 months, if so, on what date and time?

Hon Tama Potaka: No. On 14th October 2025, I was advised that the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) does not record the pregnancy status of applicants for emergency housing. Therefore, I am advised that it is not possible to say how many pregnant women, if any, may have been declined emergency housing.
