Francisco Hernandez to the Minister responsible for the GCSB: How many staff, if any, were employed in the Minister's departments, if any, on 1 July 2023 that worked on greenhouse gas emissions reduction efforts, categorised by whether they worked on organisational/corporate emissions reduction or nationwide emissions reduction or both?

Hon Judith Collins: I am advised that at both 1 July 2023 and 1 July 2024 the GCSB and NZSIS had a shared function measuring the agencies’ emissions for the Carbon Neutral Government Programme. The agencies do not have a function specifically focussed on reduction efforts or climate change adaption.
