50094 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Has NZTA completed planning or route protection work for the Brynderwyn Hills replacement section of SH1, and if so, when could construction begin if funding were available?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised NZTA is currently progressing with route protection. Preliminary work including investigations, route refinement, route protection, property acquisition and consenting is required before construction can commence.
